Dear Uncle Tom,
I will miss you and your stories, advice, and making me laugh. I could type a book based on all the dating, drinking, life, and career advice you gave me. For example, I will always remember your advice before I went away to college: to not mix alcohol or I will be sick. Stick to a good vodka . Those words of wisdom still stick with me today. One of the most memorable stories was when you attended my college graduation and I heard how you sat in the back of Ben's minivan, was carsick and the seats were like wood. You made that long and treacherous trip just so you can attend my graduation. Rest in peace, Uncle Tom. You will always hold a special place in my heart. Love your niece, Kristin

Glad I got to know Tom! He was a true Gentleman in every sense of the word. He made me feel welcome in his home, and before his illness took his spirit, he loved life and the silent competitiveness of a round of golf, reminiscing about cars, and having a sense of humor about his favorite pro football teams and the personalities associated with them. He also carried himself with a quiet sense of dignity and class. He will be missed.
