Lana Watkins, 33, of Island Heights, NJ, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017, due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident.

She was born on June 27, 1983, in Point Pleasant NJ.

Lana was a surgical technician working at Monmouth Care Center in Long Branch.  She was a devoted mother to Madison; she loved to cook, play with her dog Riley, loved music, going to concerts, going to the beach, and was an avid Giants fan.

Her tragic death has left a huge void in our family and in the hearts of everyone she touched.  Many can attest, she was the most generous, loving, and giving person whom we know. 

In keeping with Lana’s generous spirit, she gave the gift of life by donating her organs so that many others may live through her.

Lana is predeceased by her parents, Susan and Richard Watkins Jr. 

She is survived by her 9 year old daughter, Madison; her siblings, brother, Daniel Watkins; sister and brother-in-law, Colleen and Bryan Shultz; brother, Richard Watkins III and fiancé Danielle Catri; brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Julie Watkins.  Also survived by nephews; Skylar Watkins and Cody Shultz; nieces, Susan Shultz and Olivia Watkins; great niece, Natalie Watkins; and Madison’s father, William Thompsett.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lana, would be appreciated to the Madison Thompsett Trust Fund.  Contributions can be made at any TD Bank.
