Welcome to the memorial page for

Janice Ruth Baron

August 25, 1946 ~ June 2, 2016 (age 69) 69 Years Old

Janice R. Baron ( nee Domogauer) of Whiting passed away early Thursday morning, June 2nd at her home.   She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother in addition to sister, sister-in-law, Aunt and friend to many. Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Janice grew up there and graduated from Batton High School when she was 17.

After marrying her High School sweetheart, Robert Carl Baron, they moved to Georgia then the Jersey Shore residing in Barnegat and had four children together.  Janice was a long time resident of Barnegat and moved to Crestwood Village Four in Whiting on October 14th, 2002.

Janice touched all who came in contact with her; she was a beautiful soul who lived her life for her family with faith and a positive perspective. Janice was extremely artistic. She belonged to Pine Shores Art Association in Manahawkin. She had a passion for drawing and painting with great detail, her chosen art form was landscapes and seascapes with oils, acrylic and pastels. Janice also enjoyed needlepoint (loved to make Christmas tree ornaments for her family amongst many other projects). She took pride in her garden and was in the process of planting her flowers and herbs. Janice, also enjoyed to write thriller novels and hoped to one day become a published author and artist. Janice was Lutheran and her faith was an important part of her life. She was a member of Village Lutheran Church in Lanoka Harbor and cherished when she saw her grandson Cody on drums with the Praise Band.

Janice also known as “Nana” to all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren loved to be with her family. She helped raise all of her grandchildren. She was known as Nana’s Day Care. She cherished every moment she was able to spend with all of them. There is nothing more that gave her a great sense of pride and unconditional love than her family and her many friends. Janice also loved to be anywhere in the Country and was especially fond of Vermont and the New England States.

Janice is predeceased by her parents: Francis and Ruth Domogauer and her brothers Mark and Don all of whom she loved unconditionally. Janice is survived by her loving family and friends who were touched by her presence daily to include children: Donna Griffin and husband Tony, Deborah Conroy and her husband Steve, Robert Earl Baron and his wife Donna and Rebecca Brannick and husband Mike. Her grandchildren Ashley Griffin and Fiancé Vinny, Kyle Conroy and his wife Nicole, Robert Earl Baron Jr, Heather Griffin and Fiancé Chris, Cody Conroy, Adeline and Ava Brannick. Great grandchildren Bradley & Dylan Conroy. Janice’s brother Robert Domogauer and sister in law Brenda, sister in law Karen Domogauer, and sister in law Renee Domogauer. In addition, Janice’s many nieces, nephews, friends, and children’s family and all friends adored. Former sister in law Mary Bowman and husband Jack and former brother in law Carl “Butch” and wife Arlene. It is important to note that Janice loved each and everyone of her family and friends. The family would also like to share that Janice aka: Nana, “lived her life by faith not sight”.
