I was so shocked to hear of AJ's passing .We were kids together we worked together @ Tippy's we had a family connection .Too many years past without keeping in contact I am so sorry .To find now that our families live within a few miles and yet we never connected. A.J~We met July 4th, 1987, In Orange Park, Florida. We quickly became very close friends. You and I had a lot in common, and shared the same sense of humor. I got out of the Navy, and you're the reason I moved to New Jersey. I met my ex-wife there, and you were the best man at our wedding. I still remember your toast, in typical A.J fashion. I moved after 9/11, but we always kept in touch. We shared a lot of memorable times together. The last few days for me have been very difficult. I miss you more than words can describe. I know in my heart that you are in a better place and at peace. Until we meet again my friend, watch over me. I love you brother. Ski

I will always remember my Uncle A.J. fondly retelling the story of me riding in the backseat of his car as a child, commenting that I felt like I was "on a plane." It always made us laugh. R.I.P. Love always, your neice Shannon.

I am so very sorry to hear about AJ. We went to grammar school together and recently got back in touch on social media. I wish him the peace in the afterlife that he could not find here. Most sincere condolences to all who loved him.
