William R. Menzel, III

William Ronald Menzel III went home to be with the Lord on January 10, 2026 at the age of 76. William was born on October 6, 1949 in Ridgefield, NJ to the late William Ronald Menzel Jr. and Helen Menzel. He graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1973 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a minor in Bible. He lived in Elmwood Park before moving his family to Beachwood, NJ in 1986.

He was a salesman for over 50 years. He enjoyed watching baseball and football and was an avid Mets and Giants fan. He enjoyed watching action movies and for many years could be found golfing with friends at courses around the state. During his children's youth, he generously devoted many years to coaching Pine Beach–Beachwood Little League and Berkeley Township Basketball. He was proud to be a lifelong Lutheran, most recently as a member of Village Lutheran Church in Lanoka Harbor where he was a member of the Men's Club and participated in the Men's Choir.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara (Barry), his son Adam and his wife Elizabeth of Bayville, NJ; his daughter Kaitlin Benedetto and her husband Michael of Bayville,NJ; his sister Karen Menzel of Ridgefield,NJ; and his cherished grandchildren Lydia and Caleb Menzel; and newborn granddaughter Zora Benedetto, his granddog Logan, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews
