William James Rott, 79, of Waretown, New Jersey died on January 16, 2024, after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on June 24, 1944, to the late Violet & William Rott.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Stefanelli. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Louisa "Cricket" Rott, sons Michael and Jersey, daughter Connie, and his beloved grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
He was a proud veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force and the New Jersey Air National Guard. In his retirement, he loved to spend time with his family, play cards with friends, travel, and help to maintain the Old Waretown Presbyterian Cemetery with his friend David Visconi.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Layton's Home for Funerals in Forked River, NJ with visitation from 10 am -12 pm, and a funeral service at noon. Interment will follow at the BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
