William F. Bassant

William F. Bassant, 86, of Waretown, New Jersey, passed away on October 7th, 2024.

Born on May 21st, 1938, to William and Sophie Bassant in Weehawken, New Jersey.  William was an avid roller skater who competed in multiple competitions.  William was also a volunteer for the Lacey Elks and St. Mary’s Church Bingo Nights.

William is preceded in death by his 5 siblings, Bertha Bassant, John Bassant, Meta Cagle, Marie Wright, and Antoinette Carr.  He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Bassant, his 3 siblings: Roger Bassant and his wife Connie, Alida Kaufmann, and Eleanor Patire, his 5 kids, William Bassant and his wife Lisa, Alan Bassant and his wife Kerri, Jeffrey Bassant and his wife Jennifer, Lori Bassant and her husband Ken, and Gary Bassant.  William also has 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

William will be remembered as a cherished Father, Son, Brother and Friend.  Williams loving spirit and kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to have known him.
