Veronica B. Fiore, 101, of the Waretown section of Ocean Township, peacefully passed away, Monday, April 18, 2022, at the Barnegat Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Barnegat, NJ.
Veronica was born and raised in New Brunswick, NJ. It was there she fell for the love of her life, Nicholas and became a wartime bride, whose marriage lasted 68 years. Although she was employed as a part-time high school cafeteria worker, her main occupation was raising two wonderful daughters.
She was a devout Catholic, being a communicant of both St Peter's, New Brunswick, NJ and St. Mary's, Barnegat, NJ.
Veronica was an ardent wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Veronica surrounded by family in any way made her feel as if she could live forever. At 101 years young, it was as if she did. She always spoke fondly of her grandchildren and if you were lucky enough to sit next to her at the beauty parlor, she told you about all of them.
She was a selfless woman with the kindest heart. She would light up a room with her beautiful radiant smile and her positive personality. Those who knew Veronica, were truly blessed; she will be forever missed and always in our hearts.
Veronica was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas, April 2012 and daughter, Joan Ann Pingitor, January 2002.
Surviving are her devoted daughter, Clare Fiore- Kimball, Forked River, Lacey township; three grandchildren, Richard Pingitor, Hamilton, NJ, Nicholas Pingitor, Little Egg Harbor and Zoe Kimbell-Tompkins, United States Army; and a great-granddaughter, Adelina Ann Pingitor.
In lieu of flowers, donations In Memory of Veronica would be appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association; a link is supplied below.
