Thomas Williams, III Obituary

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Thomas Williams who entered eternal rest on July 26, 2026, at the age of 82.

Thomas was born on November 7, 1943, in Bishop, Virginia and moved to Wayne, NJ where he lived a life filled with skiing, ice skating and snow sling. He entered the United States Marine Corp in May of 1964 at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina and was honorably discharged in May 1970. Shortly after his honorable time serving our country, he met the love of his life, Angela. He caught one glimpse of Angela’s big, beautiful smile and that changed everything. Tom and Angela got married on July 7th, 1967, and moved to Lanoka Harbor, NJ where they had their two daughters Grace Ann and Lisa. They always had an entrepreneurially spirit owning their own businesses in carpeting, furniture and antiques.

In the year 2000 Tom and Angela built “Julia’s of Savannah” a gorgeous Victorian style bed and breakfast in Long Beach Island, NJ. Not only was the Inn their business but their home. Every room was lovingly named after their family members. Tom made sure to give us grief for tracking sand inside and leaving life saver wrappers everywhere. His garden was his pride, and the beach was his happiness. If you couldn’t find him in either of those two places, he was at Barry’s eating ice cream for probably second time that day!

Above all, Tom cherished his family. Nothing brought a bigger smile to his face than being surrounded by his kids, grandchildren and believe it or not 8 great grandchildren! The memories they shared together will remain among Tom’s most treasured gifts. Tom’s legacy lives on in every blooming flower, every treasured antique, every peaceful day at the beach, and every story shared by those who loved him. Rest easy, Tom. You will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.

Tom was preceded in death by his siblings, Louise, Bob, Danny, and Wanda, and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He leaves behind the love of his life, his devoted wife, Angela Williams; his daughters, Grace and her husband, George, and their children, Ryan (Megan, Gabriel, Brayden), Tyler (Alyssa, Ava & Hanah), and Julia (Albert, Dakota & Charlee); and Lisa and her husband, Ray, and their daughters, Savannah (Andrew, Andrew & Margot) and Emily(Gabe).

In Lieu of Flowers the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in Thomas's honor to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Your generosity will help continue the lifesaving work of these organizations and serve as a meaningful tribute to his memory.
