On May 7, 2024 Theodore (Ted) Bonsignore passed away suddenly. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara, sons Craig and Kyle, and grandchildren Samuel, Evan, Jason, and Savannah.
Born in Lodi, NJ he was the son of Carmella (Minnie) and Salvatore (Teddy) Bonsignore. He was a lifelong resident of New Jersey, residing in Totowa, Forked River, Lanoka Harbor, and Waretown. He was also a seasonal resident of Florida, residing in Punta Gorda and Fort Myers.
He was an avid boater and fisherman, and by his own admission much better at the former than the latter, enjoying many years on Barnegat Bay.
A 1968 graduate of Farleigh Dickinson University, he earned his certificate as a Certified Public Accountant and joined KPMG where he was a supervisor when he left in 1975. He then joined Krementz & Co., one of the nation’s oldest, largest, and most diversified jewelry manufacturers, with world-wide distribution. He ultimately became President and C.E.O. In 1997 he sold the business on behalf of the Krementz family. In 1998 he started a consulting practice providing advisory and management services to a wide range of diverse businesses.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewelers Board of Trade and served as Chairman of the Board. He was also a member of the 24 Karat Club of the City of New York.
