Susan S Gundersen

Susan S. Gundersen, 74, of the Forked River section of Lacey Township, died Friday at Community Medical Center, Toms River.

Born on September 4, 1947, in Passaic, NJ, residing in Clifton, NJ for many years.  She was the daughter of William F. and Ethel M. Smith.

Susan graduated from Clifton High School in the Class of 1965.  She also attended various secretarial schools and graduated from Upsala University.

She was employed by The Shultons Company as an Executive Secretary and later in life started a new career in the Property and Casualty Insurance Business where she worked until retiring in 2012.

Susan was married to Robert Gunderson on February 27, 1970.

Although never blessed with her own children, she always went out of her way to help and love her nieces, nephews and other children who were close to her.

Susan remained active in many clubs and organizations such as the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Antique Automobile Club of America where she served as the Chapter Membership Chair, Lacey Woman’s Club as well as many others too.

She was Robert’s Light and always had a kind work for all that crossed her path.
