Robert Voskanyan

Robert Voskanyan of Forked River, New Jersey, passed away on March 24, 2023. Born in Teaneck, New Jersey, Robert was a graduate of Central Regional High School, Bayville, New Jersey. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Stockton University and his master’s degree in Administrative Science from Farleigh Dickinson University. Robert was a retired New Jersey State Trooper and was most recently employed as the Division Director for the Ocean County Security department prior to his passing. He was predeceased by his father, Haig Voskanyan and mother, Marianne Voskanyan (Kojoian). He is survived by his wife Karen Voskanyan (Carney), his five beautiful girls, Erin (Butrymowicz), Jordan (Granai) and beloved triplets Courtney, Carly & Caitlyn, as well as one sibling, Paul Voskanyan. Bob loved the beach and was a former Seaside Heights lifeguard (The King of Fremont) but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and his beloved dog Buddy. He will be dearly missed by all his extended family and friends, but is now at peace with God. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for all the doctors, nurses and caregivers at the University of Pennsylvania hospital in Philadelphia, who worked tirelessly to keep Bob with his family for an astounding 13 years after initially being diagnosed with cancer. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 1st 2023 from 10am to 12pm.
