Robert Nosti, Sr. Obituary

Robert Nosti Sr., born on July 30, 1942, passed away surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy of strength, devotion, and unwavering love.

Born and raised in Nutley, New Jersey, Robert spent his childhood there before making Ocean County his home for more than 35 years.Robert was the Founder of Liberty Overhead Door and built the business to tremendous success with his Son, Daughter and Son-in-law by his side. Throughout his life, he was known as a hardworking, dependable man whose actions spoke louder than words. Industrious, strong, caring, and loyal, he approached everything he did with curiosity and passion.

Robert shared an extraordinary love story with his beloved wife, Carolyn (Donadia) Nosti. Together they built a marriage that spanned 64 years, creating a family that became the center of his world and his greatest source of pride.

He was the devoted father of Tammy Dykoff and her husband, Mark; Jodi Bidwell and her husband, David; and Robert Nosti Jr. and his wife, Dana. He was a proud grandfather to Melissa, Mackenzie, Lindsey, Nicholas, Jake, Bobby, and Gia, and an adoring great-grandfather to Sophie, Stella, and Dylan. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ronald, Edna Mae, and Jack.

Robert found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, raising all kinds of animals, working on hot rods, and spending time shooting sporting clays. Bob was widely known for taking on new hobbies 100 mph, he brought enthusiasm and dedication to everything he loved.

Above all else, Robert’s greatest passion was his family. Nothing brought him more happiness than seeing his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren together. He was the foundation of his family—a man whose quiet strength, steadfast loyalty, and generous heart provided comfort, guidance, and unconditional love to those around him.

Bob’s last two-years were spent at Harrogate Retirement Community where he quickly became the center of the social scene. Bob truly loved Harrogate and the people he was surrounded by.

His legacy will live on through the values he instilled, the memories he created, and the family he cherished so deeply. He will be profoundly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
