Robert B. Frank of Lanoka Harbor, NJ passed away on Saturday, February 11th, 2023, at the age of 89. After several months of declining health, Robert died peacefully with his beloved wife, Dorothy, of 69 years by his side.
Robert was born in Elizabeth, NJ on July 8th, 1933, to Constance and Helen Frank. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Before he left for his assignment, he married his wife and life-long partner, Dorothy Geduldick. When he returned home, he briefly worked for General Motors and then invested in a Coca-Cola Route where he spent the remainder of his career.
In 1995, Robert and Dorothy fulfilled a dream of theirs to move “down the shore”. Owning a property on the water allowed Robert to spend time fishing on his boat and crabbing off his dock with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed golfing and calling bingo at the local Elks.
Catholic faith was always a priority to Robert. He quickly became a parishioner at St. Pius X Church where he was an usher for nearly two decades.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Charlotte Frank and James Frank. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Frank; children Joanne Caulfield and Barbara Schimmel; sons-in-law John Caulfield and Thomas Schimmel; five grandchildren Alison Caulfield, Kaitlin Baldasari, Thomas Schimmel, Michael Schimmel and Robert Schimmel; and five great-grandchildren Vincent Caulfield, Michael Baldasari, Olivia Baldasari, Gabriella Baldasari and Jaedynn Black.
A visitation for Robert is planned for Thursday, February 16th, 2023, from 6 pm to 9 pm. The visitation will be at Layton’s Home for Funerals 250 Lacey Rd., Forked River, NJ. All are invited to attend. A mass will be held on Friday, February 17th at 10am St. Pius X Church 300 Lacey Rd. Forked River, NJ.
