Rae M Schiumo

Raffaela (Rae) Schiumo, nee Cobuzio, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020 at the age of 94.

Born to Angelina and Salvatore on Mulberry Street in Little Italy, New York where she grew up with her brother Dominic, Rae went on to marry Anthony and became a part of a beautiful extended family.

Rae and Tony shared three children, six grandchildren and many beautiful memories together before Tony’s passing in 2004.  She was also predeceased by her parents, her brother, Dominic and son-in-law Paul.

She is survived by her loving children: Rosemary; Michael and his wife Michele; and Angela and her husband Lanny, as well as six grandchildren, Jon-Paul, Rachael, Courtney, Marc and his wife Asia, Michael and Matthew. 

Rae is, likewise, blessed to have been survived by many members of her extended family of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Rae was known for her beautiful smile, quick witted expressions,  welcoming kitchen table and perpetual dedication to her family.  In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Rae’s memory to a local Hospice.
