Pauline Hamrysky Werner Johnstone,100, born in Coalport, Pennsylvania, April 12, 1923. Died February 27, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Pauline loved to spend time between their homes in Forked River and Surfside Beach,SC. She loved cooking for her family and friends and was delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pauline was also fond of animals and babies. Her hobbies included shopping, fishing, crabbing, swimming and boating.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Elayne (Werner) Powers, married to Robert Powers, her 4 grandchildren; Katelyn Powers Magee (Shane) of Bethlehem, PA, Ryan Powers (Shanna) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Rory Powers (Nikki) of Brick, and Brittany Smith (Joey) of Cherry Hill, NJ, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Pauline was predeceased by her loving husband of 41 years, William “Scotty” Johnstone, her parents, Joseph and Amelia Hamrysky, brothers, Adam Hamrysky and Charles Hamrysky, sisters, Helen Hamrysky, Sally Neal, Mary Stukowski, and Sophie Chuita. She is survived by his children Barry (Pattie), Robert (Maureen) and 2 grandchildren; Christine & Matthew and 2 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Visiting Nurses Hospice Association of Toms River, who made it possible for her to remain at home, or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
