It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Paul A. Commarato of Waretown, New Jersey.
Paul was an adoring husband, devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, loving brother, and cherished friend. He left us on January 29, 2025, at the age of 85, surrounded by his loving family.
Paul enjoyed many activities including hunting, fishing, gardening, making bird houses, creating beautiful stained-glass windows and of course his trips to Atlantic City. His time spent in Cayman Islands always held a special place in his heart but family was his greatest love of all.
Paul started his own plumbing business “Commarato Plumbing and Heating” in the 60’s. Upon retirement Paul created "Poppa C Biscotti's" which showed his love of baking.
Paul was born in Bloomfield and raised in Caldwell, moving to Livingston, followed by his move to Springfield where he designed and helped build his house where he raised his family.
In 1980 he moved to Mountainside. Paul’s final chapter in life brought him to the Greenbriar Oceanaire Community in Waretown. His neighbors became more than friends, they were family.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Paul & Arlene, his brother Louis and his first wife Yolanda.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Marge Commarato (nee Tiboni), his daughter Ann Commarato & her husband Wayne, Michael Trapani & his wife Gretchen, Paul F. Commarato & his wife Maureen, Lisa Trapani, Donna Commarato & her husband Joe, Peter Trapani & his wife Siobhan. Fifteen grand children & eighteen great-grand children.
