Patrick Callaghan passed away October 18th 2021 at the age of 71. Patrick was born and raised in Kearny, NJ. He was a graduate of Essex Catholic High School and served in the New Jersey National Guard attaining the rank of Supply Sergeant. Patrick married the love of his life, Sharon, and they moved to Forked River where they raised their family. Patrick worked a tireless career in auto sales for multiple new car dealerships and ultimately retired after owning, and operating, his own used car dealership. The motto of Callaghan Auto was, "We will treat you like family." Patrick took that motto into his whole life, treating everyone he met as though they were family. He often referred to himself as, "The only honest car salesman in New Jersey." Patrick was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who would do anything for those closest to him. Patrick was a parishioner of St. Pius X where he taught CCD and served as an usher for many years.
Patrick is survived by his wife Sharon Callaghan, son Thomas Callaghan, daughter Meghan Callaghan and her wife Jessica Ocampo-Callaghan, daughter Kelly Maiellano and her husband Brian Maiellano, son Brian Callaghan and his wife Nicole Callaghan, and grandchildren Taylor Callaghan, Brianna Callaghan, Cailin Callaghan, Reilly Callaghan, Liam Callaghan, Mia Maiellano, Chloe Maiellano, Desmond Callaghan, Makayla Callaghan, and Braiden Callaghan.
