Patricia R. Cicardo Obituary

Patricia Cicardo — loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother and great‑grandmother, sister, aunt, and loyal friend — passed away on Sunday, surrounded by the family she adored.

Patricia had a way of making everyone feel welcomed, the moment they met her. She made sure people felt at home, cared for, and always well‑fed. Her warmth came naturally, her generosity never wavered, and she lived her life with a truly selfless heart.

Family was everything to her. She poured love into every holiday, every meal, every celebration, and every ordinary day. She was an avid reader and writer, loved being outdoors and traveling, and found real joy in cooking for the people she loved. Her home was often filled with the doo‑wop music she adored, and at any gathering she was the first one on the dance floor — smiling, moving, and bringing everyone else along with her contagious joy.

Patricia shared nearly 61 years with her beloved husband, Ed, her high‑school sweetheart. Their life together was built on deep love, loyalty, and true partnership. They traveled to beautiful islands and beaches, created decades of memories, and were rarely apart — a lifelong love story that inspired everyone who knew them.

She retired from the Lacey Township Board of Education, where she formed treasured friendships and was known for her kindness, humor, and steady support.

Patricia will be remembered for her generosity, her loyalty, her gentle strength, and her beauty inside and out. Her legacy lives on in the family she built, the love she gave, and the countless lives she brightened simply by being herself.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ed; her son Craig and his wife Jeanine; her daughter Gina and her husband Andy; her grandchildren Craig and his wife Emily, Kirsten, Nickolas, and Natalie; and her great‑granddaughters Cora and Josie. She is also survived by her brother James Linquito, his wife Dolores, and their children Nicole and Matthew.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29 th from 5-8pm at Layton’s Funeral Home 250 Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ.
