Patricia Ann Klein (nee Gilson), 82, passed away on June 8, 2025. She was a devoted Wife, loving Mom, Nana and Aunt. She was married to Joseph Klein for 60 years, “Joey” passed away earlier this year on February 1, 2025.
Born in Bayonne, she moved to Point Pleasant with her family and was a graduate of Point Pleasant Beach High School. Pat and Joe in 1970 would build a home in Forked River and become residents of Lacey for over 40 years. Patricia was a communicant of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Forked River.
Known by many as Patty Ann or Pat, she worked for Sears and Roebuck, at Ocean County Mall for more than 10 years, before going to work as an Operating Room Instrument Technician at Point Pleasant Hospital and later transferred to Brick (Ocean Medical Center) where she would later retire.
In the 1970’s Pat enjoyed being a Lacey girls’ soccer coach for many years and taking her team to Mary’s Little Dairy. She was also an avid bowler for the Toms River Jaycees. Her passion was dancing with “Joey”, going out to dinner, travelling to the Poconos, and family gatherings. Her family and friends recall her sense of humor and cackling laugh. However, her favorite thing to do besides being with her beloved Joey was being able to be with her grandchildren and spoiling them.
She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands: Ellen and Gilbert Vidal, of Lacey; Theresa and Shawn Cavalcante, of Anthem, Az; her grandchildren, Theodore and Declan Vidal; and Robert J. Cavalcante. She is also survived by two sisters, Mary Ann Cutaia, of Point Pleasant, and Margaret Smith, of Brick Township.
She was predeceased by her adopted son James K. Moore/Klein; her parents, Francis H. and Helen Gilson; her brothers, Francis, John, and Joseph; and her sisters, Marion and Helen.
