Niles E. Wallace, age 91, of Forked River died peacefully on May 17, 2020. Niles was born In Carbondale, PA and raised in Clifford, PA. He and his parents moved to Kearny, NJ and later to Lyndhurst, NJ. He graduated from Lyndhurst High School, attended business school and started a service station business. Niles married the love of his life Florence Gentile in 1951. They raised their three daughters in Pompton Lakes and Pompton Plains, New Jersey.
Niles began his life’s work at various sheet metal companies before opening Morris County Builders and later, his heating and air conditioning company, Riverdale Heating and Cooling. Niles came out of retirement to work for the Township of Pequannock and his fellow residents.
He and his wife Florence traveled many years as business owners and in retirement, where they enjoyed residing in Forked River, NJ.
Surviving is his wife of 69 years, Florence, their children and spouses, Cynthia and Louis Graziano, Barbara and Tom Hill and Linda and Fred Swanson, six grandchildren, Heather Graziano Daniels, Kimberly and husband Steve Schumeg, Christopher and wife Ashley Hill, Kevin Hill and fiancé Catherine, Caitlyn Hill and fiancé Thomas, Kurt Hill, and two great grandchildren, Lucas Daniels and Evan Hill. He is predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Bernice Wallace and brother Elwood.
