With great sadness, we announce the passing of Nicholas F. Gervasi Sr. of Waretown, New Jersey. Nick was an adoring husband, devoted father and grandfather, loving brother, and cherished friend, who left us on January 10, 2025, at the age of 71, surrounded by his loving family and closest friends. Nick was known for his infectious personality, kindheartedness, and unwavering dedication to the people he cared about. Nick was a lover of life and found joy in many activities including golf, bowling, bocce and trips to the beach and Atlantic City. Nick was always there to lend a helping hand, provide advice or just listen.
Nick was born and raised in Staten Island, New York and moved to Howell, New Jersey in 1986 where he created a great life for his family. Nick started his career working the assembly line at the Ford Motor Company and then transitioned to Consolidated Edison where he would eventually retire from. Nick’s final chapter in life brought him to the Greenbriar Oceanaire Community in Waretown, NJ where his work never stopped as he was extremely involved in community events and clubs. He loved the many friends he met at Greenbriar and truly made the most of his retirement.
Nick was predeceased by his wife Grace Gervasi, and is survived by his sons Nicholas Gervasi Jr. and Steven Gervasi, his daughters-in-law Amber and Jenna Gervasi, his grandchildren Samantha, Joseph, Leah and Jocelynn Gervasi, his sister Angela Gervasi, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tony and Cookie Schiavone his nieces and nephews Chrissy, Chuckie, Ang and Anthony and many dear and devoted friends.
Nick brought joy and happiness to all who knew him and will be deeply missed. Nick may not be with us anymore but the impact he left will make him impossible to forget.
