Nicholas Joseph Cafaro

Nicholas Joseph Cafaro, 76, of Waretown, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 2, 2020.  Nicholas, the son of the late Erminio and Angelina, was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived happily in Montville, NJ for thirty-seven years. 

Nick’s passion for fixing things around the house, his garden and his sailboat were only to be outdone for his passion in serving others.  Nick served his country as a jet engine mechanic in the United States Air Force, and served his God and his church as a Eucharistic Minister and through the Knights of Columbus of which he was the Grand Knight at St. Pius X in Montville.  Nick served his community as a member of CERT and drove the local first-aid ambulance.  He also served his neighborhood at the local beach club and marina through countless acts of volunteering.  Above all, his family always came first. 

Nick attended Farleigh Dickinson University and worked as a sales executive in various capacities throughout his career leading up to owning his own sales and marketing business.   

Nick is survived by his beloved wife, Ann, his two sons, Nicholas (Christie) and Gerard (Caroline), and his much-loved granddaughter Carly as well as his loving sisters, Florence Fontaine, Carol Bassetti and Gloria Ferri.
