We celebrate the homecoming of Mildred E. Boucher who peacefully entered the presence of our Lord on June 27th 2026 at the age of 87 surrounded by family.
Born on Sunday October 23rd 1938, Millie lived a life in selfless servitude with boundless compassion and love. She was a steadfast Christian whose relationship with Jesus Christ was the foundation of everything she did. Always prepared to give the reason for the hope that was within her, she never faltered to spread the gospel message and introduce anyone and everyone to their savior. As Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live" (John 11:25).
There are many saints on earth and in heaven that will attribute their knowledge of Christ to His faithful servant. Her prayers touched the lives of everyone who knew her, and even some that didn't.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband and best friend, Maurice J. Boucher as well as her eldest daughter Kathleen Schultz and her husband, Chester. Millie also leaves a legacy of her children, Kenneth Boucher (Lori), Charlene Havelka (Thomas), Richard Boucher, Allison Banach (David), and Ronald Boucher. Her legacy continues with 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren whom she called her 'little angels.'
Millie retired from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office after over 30 years of service as the Confidential Secretary to the Prosecutor. After retirement Millie spent her time bowling, golfing, crocheting, and being with her enormous family. This short passage cannot contain all the memories her family treasures of her.
Though her earthly journey has ended, her tradition of faith, grace, and unconditional love will continue to be upheld by those she leaves behind. We can rejoice in the assurance that she was welcomed with the words, 'Well done, good and faithful servant.'
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Wednesday, July 1st 2026. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
And he will make straight your paths."
--Proverbs 3:5-6
