Michael S Ulaki

Michael Ulaki, 79, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2022, at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, February 23.1943, he was the son of Michael and Maryann Ulaki. Mike graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1961 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education from Monmouth College and a Master’s Degree in Administration from Kean University.

Mike married his wife Barbara in 1966 and celebrated 52 years of marriage until Barbara died in 2017.

Mr. U as he was known to the teachers, students, and parents started as a Business teacher at Abraham Clark High School in 1966, became Assistant Principal at Leonard V. Moore Middle School, and was then appointed Principal of Washington Elementary School where he finished his career in 2002. He spent his entire educational career in Roselle.

Mr. U coached football, track, and golf at the high school. He was known as the "Yule" to his close childhood friends that grew up together and was an original member of the Mystic Knights CPA. Mike enjoyed all sports while growing up and later became an avid golfer and bowler.
