Michael James Polo

Michael (Mike) J. Polo, 63 of Forked River, NJ passed away August 29, 2020 at his home.  He was born November 22, 1956 in Philadelphia, PA to Ben and Flora Polo.  The Polo Family moves to NJ where they have lived ever since.

Mike was a quiet man who loved his family and took great pleasure in his hobbies.  Mike was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School and started working at A&P while still in school.  He remained at A&P until the company was bought out by Acme.  He then worked for Acme in the capacity of Produce Manager for most of his career, retiring just a few years ago. 

Michael loved NASCAR and if he couldn’t attend a race in person he would watch the race on television always routing for his favorite driver Jimmie Johnson. 

Retirement gave Mike the opportunity to more fully pursue his other passions, collecting NASCAR memorabilia and building model cars.

Mike had an infectious smile and a sense of humor that would sneak up on you.  He will be missed.

Michael is survived by his mother Flora, his brother Thomas Polo and his wife Dawn, and his niece Alicia Farrales.
