Maureen Kalin

On Friday, November 17, 2023, another angel gained her wings.  Maureen F. Kalin, 69, of Forked River, NJ was called to Heaven.  Maureen, a beloved mother of 3 and grandmother of 4 was predeceased by her husband and soulmate, Bruce.  Together, Bruce and Maureen had 3 sons, Craig, David and Kevin.  Maureen was also blessed to have two daughters-in-law, Natalie (married Craig) and Jamie (married David,) whom she not only welcomed into the family with open arms but accepted as her own.  She adored and cherished spending time with her 4 grandchildren Kayla, Max, Karli and Juliet, who will miss her dearly and always “love her to the moon and back.”

Maureen is also predeceased by her parents Thomas and Rita Dunphy.  Maureen is survived and will be dearly missed by her two sisters Barbara and Ritamarie, brother Thomas and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who were unconditionally loved by her.

A celebration of Maureen’s life will be held on Saturday, December 2, 9:00 am at Layton’s Funeral Home, 250 Lacey Rd, Forked River, NJ 08732.  A procession will follow to Ocean County Memorial Park, 280 Wells Mills Rd, Waretown, NJ 08758 where a memorial ceremony will be held at 11 am.
