MaryLou Cordivari died peacefully in her home on October 30, 2021 at the age of 72. She was born February 6,1949 and raised in Springfield PA, she resided in NJ for the last 30 years. She was a Cardinal O’Hara high school Graduate and later went on to receive a nursing degree. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt and Nonna.
She is survived by her three children and spouses; Bill & Debbie Cordivari, Jackie & John McGill and Matt & Margo Cordivari. Marylou’s greatest loves were her six grandchildren; Matthew, Mollie, Mia, Michael, Emily & Owen. She is survived by her mother Mary Welch, her brothers and sisters; Suzi & Bill Person; Tom & Pam Welch; Patti Bitzberger; Jim Welch; Dottie & Bob McGuire; and Terri & Pat O’Donnell. She was predeceased by her father, Tom Welch.
Marylou will surely be remembered for her sense of humor, kindness and compassion for those around her, and her love for family. To her children and grandchildren she was Nonna. She grew up in a large family and was an avid swimmer. She loved the shore, sitting by the bay and had a lifetime of memories at Lake Naomi in the Poconos. She had a passion for gardening and art and loved cooking. Nonna always put others first and spoiled her children and grandchildren any chance given. Marylou loved her brothers and sisters and had a special bond with her “Welch Sisters.”
Marylou was a great listener and was always available to anyone and everyone who needed to talk. She always had an ear to listen and the wisdom to advise. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
