Mary Gildea

Mary Patricia “Pat” Gildea (nee Hanley) 85, of Forked River, passed away at her home, Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her family was her life, and she cherished the memories she had over the years with them.

Pat is survived by her husband, Arthur Gildea, two sons, Brian Gildea and Steven Gildea, daughter Cathleen Blackwood and grandchildren Thomas Blackwood, Olivia Blackwood and Sophia Blackwood. Extended family members Edward Bentlyewski, Robert Blackwood and Lisa Kyrioglou were loved by Pat.

She was proud to be a homemaker, loved Elvis and made a great tomato sauce! Her favorite color was purple, she saved every card anyone ever gave her and supported St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for many years (stjude.org). We love you Mom and thank you for being such a wonderful part of our lives.
