Marjorie M. Fenton, 82, of Whiting, NJ passed away February 26th surrounded by her loving family. Marjorie was born on February 7th, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to Frank and Victoria Michaels. She was married to her beloved husband Robert L. Fenton for 63 years. Marjorie and Robert moved to Forked River, NJ in 1965. Together they had 2 sons, Robert L. Fenton, Jr. and Jeffrey M. Fenton (Kimberly). Surviving are her 5 grandchildren: Jeffrey, Jr., Gregory, Olivia, Caroline, and Briana and her 3 great grandchildren: Arianna, Jeffrey III, and Jackson.
Marjorie was a member of the choir at the Christ Lutheran Church in Whiting NJ, Lacey Township Jr. Woman’s Club, Lacey Township Republican Club, and the Lacey Township Historical Society. She was also a member for 10 years and the past president of the Lacey Township Board of Education. Marjorie was instrumental in the withdrawal from Central Regional School District and the building of Lacey Township High School and middle school.
