Marie Russel

Marie Russel, 75, of Forked River, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2023. She was born on April 30, 1948, in Staten Island. Marie, also known as Marie Trombino before her marriage, was a strong, hardworking, loving, devoted wife and mother.

Marie is survived by her beloved husband, Frank Russel. Her sisters Beatrice Blomquist and Linda DePaul. Her children Randy, Patrick, Michelle, Kelli, Anthony, Heidi, and Frank Jr. She was also a cherished grandmother to Michael, Carissa, Christopher, Anthony, Zachary, Joseph, Randy, Jeptha, Acadia, Zinnia. And Michael. Great-grandmother to Madison, Marianna, Michaela, and Trey. Her beloved dog Scooter who brought immense joy to her life.

Preceding Marie in death were her mother, Marie Trombino, her father, Joseph Trombino, and her brother Charles Trombino.

Marie attended St. Rita's Primary School and later graduated from Wilfred Beauty Academy. She furthered her education at John Jay.
Marie's career as a beautician allowed her to showcase her talent and passion for making others feel and look their best. She was dedicated to her craft and always went the extra mile to ensure her customers satisfaction at Clove Lakes.

In her free time, Marie enjoyed cooking, shopping, gardening, and playing cards. These hobbies brought her much joy. She loved her dogs and all animals .Marie also loved all of her family, especially her cousins and many dear friends including all her friends at Pheasant Run where she resided.
Marie worshipped at St. Francis, where she found solace and spiritual guidance.

A funeral service to honor Marie's life will be held at St. Francis in Long Beach Island. Contributions in her memory can be made to Popcorn Zoo, a cause that was close to her heart.
The funeral arrangements are being handled by Laytons in Forked River, New Jersey. Their compassionate staff will assist the family during this difficult time.
Marie Russel will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to those whose lives she touched.
