Marie I Hische

Marie Carmella Izzo Hische, 84, of Lanoka Harbor passed away December 30, 2021. Born in Elizabeth, NJ and raised in Kenilworth, she worked at the Dinky Toy Co. before marrying Wilbert Hische, an Elizabeth fireman, in 1958. They moved their family to the jersey shore in 1972, designing and building their home in Lanoka Harbor. While raising their 4 children, Marie was a majorette coach for pop warner, a board member of Lacey Newcomers' Club, and a board member of Lacey High School's PTA--there she used her creative mind and artistic skills to help design the very first Lacey Lions' mascot costume. Always active in her community, she was also a parishioner of Saint Pius Church in Forked River. 

Marie was predeceased by her husband, WIlbert Hische; parents, Frank and Louise Izzo; and sister and her husband, Carol and Lou Ferrari. She is survived by her children: son Stephen Hische and Dolores; daughter Sharon and husband Joe Minialga; daughter Susan and husband Dr. Andrew Pagnotta; and daughter Stacey and husband Chas Fino. Marie also has seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 

Marie prided herself in taking care of others--friends, family, and those in need. She will be remembered for her generosity, love for family, and strong faith. We know she's in heaven feeding the birds and talking to Elvis.
