Maria Maguire

Maria Maguire of Forked River, NJ passed away at her home on August 14, 2022.

Maria was born and raised in Kearny, NJ, where she met her loving husband, Jimmy while attending Kearny High School. Together, they were married for 43 years and had a beautiful life with their two children, Kelly and Patrick. She will be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, Nonna, daughter, sister, and friend to many.

She spent her career as an educator in the Toms River regional school district, much of it in her favorite role, teaching kindergarten. 

In retirement, Maria enjoyed spending time at the beach in Seaside Park with friends and being Nonna to her two grandsons who loved and adored her.

Maria is survived by her husband James, her mother Rose Zecca, her sister Diane Carione and husband Bill, her children and their spouses, Kelly and Adam Gilson, Patrick and Caleigh Maguire, and her grandchildren, Joshua and Benjamin Gilson.
