Margaret F Wiese (nee Kayan), 84, of the Whiting section of Manchester Township NJ, died peacefully with her family at her side on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick Township, NJ. She was born on January 20, 1940, in Newark and resided in Whiting prior her death. She received her Degree in Education from the College of Newark and her Masters Degree in Special Education from Kean University. She spent her career doing what she loved as a Special Education Teacher in the East Brunswick School District. She touched the lives of many students.
Margaret took full advantage or her retirement enjoying her love for traveling in both the United States and Europe. She especially enjoyed visiting the US National Parks and bus trips to New York City to see Broadway shows.
Margaret had a love for all animals. She enjoyed overnight trips with her Nieces dog Bailey, and cherished her later years with her sweet dog Cookie.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Rose Kayan, her loving husband Dave, who passed away in 2008, her brother William Kayan Jr. and Sister in Law Margaret Kayan.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her three nieces and nephew, Eileen Ritz and her husband Kevin of Stewartsville NJ, Christine Yanoso and her husband Bob of Raritan NJ, William J Kayan of Brick Township and Margaret Kayan of Bayville. Also left behind are her 8 Great Nephews and her Great Nice. Kevin Ritz, Christine Garrison, Christopher, Paul and Brian Yanoso, Ryan, Sean, Kyle and Scott Patterson and her Great-Great Niece and Nephew Kylie Ritz and Jason Garrison. She will also be dearly missed by her very dear friends Arlene Gerlowski and Joann Squire.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Layton’s Home for Funerals, 250 West Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ 08731. Friends and Family are also invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 9:00 am at Layton Funeral home. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union NJ, at approximately 11 am.
