Margaret Jane Vogel

Margaret Jane Vogel, 85, of Waretown, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025, at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma and Leukemia.

Born on January 2, 1940, in Paterson, NJ, Marge spent many years in Clifton, NJ before moving to Rockaway Township, NJ, where she and her husband Frank raised five children over the course of 32 years. After her retirement from the accounting department at Thomas G. Ferguson Associates in 2002, Marge and Frank moved to Waretown NJ where they enjoyed their time at Greenbriar Oceanaire Country Club. Marge stayed active with golf, bowling, and various clubs, including Mahjong and Canasta.

Marge had many friends and was known for her compassion, kindness, quick wit, and her infectious laughter. She shared her love of adventure with family and friends,which included international travel to several exotic locations. She dedicated years of service as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Pius X Church in Forked River, NJ, where she became a beloved member of the church community.

Marge’s legacy of love, friendship, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her. She is predeceased by her parents, Richard E., and Margaret (Smith) Lovell, her brother Richard Lovell, and her sister Joyce Aleksandrowicz.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Frank Vogel; her children Robert (Christine), Lynne (Rich), Susan (Ken), Terri (John), and Karen; her grandchildren Kyle (Ashley), Megan, Olivia (David), Jacob, Shane, Ryan, Brooke, Ty, Erin, Luke, and Cole; her great-grandchildren Cameron, Emmy Jane, and Grayson; and her son-in-law Terry Craig.
