Lynda M Harland

Lynda Marie Harland (née Melesky)age 62 of Forked River, NJ passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025 after bravely battling cancer for over a year. Born on September 23, 1963 and raised in Kearny, NJ, Lynda married her husband Bill in 1992 and moved to Forked River, NJ in 1993 where they began their beautiful life and family together,  welcoming their daughters Michelle,in 1996, and Jamie, in 1997.
Lynda worked for the Lacey Township school district for over 20 years, starting as a duty aide, and eventually becoming a School Bus Driver, where her co-workers quickly became some of her closest friends. She truly enjoyed watching the children on her bus route grow up over the years, and it brought her so much happiness. Lynda’s family was everything to her, and her girls were her pride and joy. She never took a single moment for granted, and never missed a sporting event or milestone for her girls. Anyone that ever had the pleasure of knowing Lynda knows she was the kindest person with  the biggest heart, the best sense of humor, and the most infectious laugh. She loved to spend her time with family and friends, relaxing on the boat or camping with her husband, Bill; her dog, Harley (the bestest angel baby); or just curling up reading a good book. 

Lynda is survived by her husband, William Harland; daughter, Jamie Harland; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle & Bryce Jurkouich; sisters, Theresa Melesky; Donna Flaherty-Ventra and her husband Anthony Ventra; brother, Jeffery Melesky and wife Sarah Melesky; Brother-in-law, James Harland; Nieces, Samantha, Rachel and Rebecca; Nephew, Ryan; Great-Nephews, Richard and Jack; Aunt/Best friend, Cindy Shields; Step-mothers Cheryl Melesky and Susan Shaw-McLemore. 

Lynda was predeceased by her parents Helen Eileen McLemore, Clifford Melesky, and Richard McLemore; nephew, Eric Flaherty; Mother and Father-in-law William & Shirley Harland.
