Louis P Beneduci

March 11, 1929 ~ February 27, 2022 (age 92)

Luigi Pompei (Louis Peter) Beneduci died peacefully on February 27, 2022 atthe age of 92. Louis is survived by his wife, Joan of 69 years, two sons Richard (Elaine), Steven (Karen) and 4 grandchildren, Ricky (Rachel),Steven, Stephanie (Scotty) and Matthew.

Louis met the love of his life Joan in an ice cream parlour after one of his high school football games while growing up in Jersey City, NJ. They married, moved to Wood-Ridge, where he worked as a truck driver for Bell Container for 40 years, raised his family and eventually retired to the Jersey Shore. He found driving to be a source of relaxation and would often take long drives during his retirement.

He was an avid Yankee fan, enjoyed horse racing, especially going to Saratoga Race track in the summer and loved living near the beach where he spent many summers prior to retiring there.

He was extremely proud of his Italian heritage. He valued family above all, made the best home-made raviolis and of course could only have pasta with his homemade Sauce.

He was sweet, kind, caring and uniquely entertaining. A friend to all with an infectious smile that touched everyone he met. He will be missed immensely but he will live forever in our hearts with a lifetime of stories he left us to tell.

His life will be celebrated with a Eulogy and Mass on Friday, March 11th at10:30 AM at Corpus Christie Church in Hasbrouck Heights  followed by a lunch at Nanni Restaurant in Rochelle Park.
