Lisa Friedland

Lisa Ann (Mollica) Friedland, age 62, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on May 8, 2023, after a two-year battle with cancer.

She was born on December 9, 1960, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Robert and Dorothy Mollica.  Growing up, Lisa spent her summers with her family at the Jersey Shore, before moving to the area in her teens.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Kenneth Friedland; two sons, Drew and his wife, Laura, and Kyle and his wife, Kyndl; grandchildren, Garison, Leo, Fairah, Grant, and soon-to-be fifth grandchild; two sisters, Donna Mazzonna and Christine Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews.  Lisa and Ken met in 1978 and would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in August of this year.

Lisa earned her bachelor’s degree from Rutgers, went on to receive her master’s degree in education, and worked in the insurance industry for the majority of her career.

Lisa enjoyed the beach and traveling with family and friends, and was a member of the St. Barnabas Catholic Church.  Above all, Lisa’s world revolved around her family.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and will forever be remembered for the impact that she had on all those that were part of her life.
