Lawrence J Perry

Lawrence "Larry" J. Perry Sr, 90 of Forked River NJ, passed away surrounded by love and family on July 21st 2025. Larry was predeceased by his parents Donald and Anna Perry, and his brothers, Willard and John. He is survived by his wife Catherine Perry. He leaves behind his two children Karen Stefanski and Larry Perry Jr and his wife Chris, his grandchildren William, Mark, Alicia, and Kyle, as well as six great-grandchildren.

During his life, Larry's favorite past times were golfing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren. He attended all sporting events including baseball, football, and swim meets. He traveled along with his wife to various destinations, from whale watching on an Alaskan cruise to the beaches of Hawaii, and many ski slopes. He found pleasure in living a life of leisure during his retirement and found a home in Bradenton Florida where he spent many hours lounging on the back lanai enjoying a cold beer, bourbon, or scotch.

Larry was involved tremendously in his grandchildren's lives. He loved Christmas which he would search the night skies with family for sightings of Santa Claus and reindeer. He hosted countless backyard barbeques where he was an expert judge in cannonball contests. He found joy in woodworking and crafting birdhouses, lawn décor, lanterns, and rocking chairs.

Though he may be gone from Earth, he watches us now from the soft puffy clouds of Heaven. Forever he will be loved and missed by those he left behind.

July 24th viewing 2:00 -6:00 pm at Layton's Funeral Home. 250 Lacey Rd, Forked River NJ 08731

Funeral Mass on July 25th at 9:30 am. Located at St. Pius X Catholic Church. 300 Lacey Rd, Forked River NJ 08731

Followed by burial at Monmouth Memorial Park. 4201 NJ-33 Tinton Falls NJ 07753.

Repass at 1:00 pm at the Captain Inn. 304 E Lacey Rd, Forked River NJ.
