Laura J. Castellano

Laura Jean Castellano, 72, of Waretown peacefully passed away on June 22, 2026.  Laura was born in Bronx, New York, grew up in, North Babylon, NY and moved to Manalapan, NJ, before purchasing her forever home in Greenbriar Oceanaire in Waretown.  Over the years living there, she participated in many activities including the Gardenaires, Italian American and Wine Clubs.

Laura was a graduate of North Babylon Senior High School and a Katharine Gibbs Business School graduate.  In 1972, she was hired as an Executive Assistant in Avon’s Corporate Offices in New York City.  As the years progressed, she moved up the corporate ladder and eventually became Manager of their Public Relations Department, where she excelled and was able to travel to many international locations. She remained with Avon for 33 years before retiring in 2005.

Laura was predeceased by her father, Louis Castellano in 2008 and her mother, Gloria Castellano in 2019.  She is survived by her brothers, Louis Castellano and David Castellano both of North Babylon, New York.  Laura is also survived by other family members and many, many lifetime friends as well as her beloved dog, Lacey.

Laura will best be remembered for her dynamic personality, her beautiful smile and gorgeous red hair. She was an independent woman who loved her home and living life “her way”.  She loved dogs, loved to cook and made a mean lasagna. She lived a simple life with her home being her haven. But above all else, Laura cherished her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Cremation will be private, however, a celebration of life will take place at the Ocean Memorial Park on Wells Mills Road in Waretown sometime in the Fall.
