Kathleen A. Haines (nee Arbogast), 81, of Forked River, NJ, passed away peacefully in her home, where she JOYfully resided for the past 59 years, on August 13, 2025. Born January 31, 1944, in Philadelphia, Kathy lived a life filled with love, laughter, generosity, and JOY that touched everyone she met.
Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Haines; her parents, Albert J. Arbogast Jr. and Mabel A. Arbogast (nee Hess); and her brother, Albert J. Arbogast III.
Kathy is survived by her nephews Morgan Arbogast (Sue), Jonathan Arbogast (Anna), her niece Jennifer Cunnane (Ryan), their mother Claire Arbogast, her great nephews Logan, Kyle, Jackson, Griffan, her great nieces Addisan, Sadie, Ava, and her family of cherished friends. Kathy was more than a devoted friend – she was a steady light in the lives of those around her, a source of JOY, comfort and wise counsel.
Kathy was a graduate of Abington High School and after earning her associates degree in Business Administration from Ocean County College, she followed her heart and founded Fairview Business Solutions. There, she not only managed client’s taxes with diligence but also built lasting relationships, offering heartfelt advice and encouragement that extended far beyond the numbers on a page.
Kathy lived a life of service and faith reflected in her teaching and leadership roles at Village Lutheran Church. Kathy was warm, wise, compassionate and authentic. Whether sharing coffee with friends, offering a listening ear, or celebrating life’s big and small victories, she had a gift for making people feel truly seen and valued.
Her legacy will live on in the laughter of all that knew her, the guidance she gave freely, the cookie recipes shared with many and the countless lives she touched with love, kindness and JOY
