Joseph P. Fedor, 87, of Forked River, NJ passed away on October 15, 2020. Joseph was born in Duryea, PA, the proud son of a coal miner.
Joe proudly served as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army Military Police during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1957.
Joe was a graduate of Seton Hall University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Accounting. Early in his career, he was a pioneer in Information Technology, working with the first generation of computers. He was Plant Controller at Ward Baking Co., Data Processing Manager at Beattie Mfg. Co., and Data Processing Mgr. at Kane Carpet Co., retiring in 1991.
Joe is the past President of the North Arlington Lions Club, and a long-time parishoner at St. Barnabas Church in Bayville, NJ.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Dianne Fedor. They enjoyed many years of retirement together, especially traveling to Cape Cod, Massachusetts and Longboat Key, Florida. They enjoyed the NJ shore where they resided for 38 years, birding together, raising their Weimaraners, most recently their beloved Cosmo, and most of all family and friends.
Joseph is survived by his daughters, Maryanne Fedor Anner and Joanne Fedor. He is pre-deceased by his daughter Lorraine Fedor Borealo. Also surviving are: grandchildren, Angela Borealo, Thomas Borealo, and Daniel Anner, and great-granddaughter Maria L. Borealo; Step-daughters Linda Moore and Dana Forfa; Step-grandchildren Richard Forfa, Jason Forfa, and M Devon Moore. He is pre-deceased by his parents Joseph Fedor and Albina (Kupstas) Fedor; brothers John Fedor and Paul Fedor, and his sister Berneeda Tyburski. Survivng also are much loved nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the caring and compassionate doctors and nurses at Community Medical Center for the care given in his final moments. Most of all, thank you to his long time doctors, Dr. Mahdi and Dr. Amato, at both Beth-Israel and Clara Maass Hospitals for years of outstanding care.
