John Pecelli Obituary

John A. Pecelli, 65 of Forked River NJ, passed away on Sunday May 10th, 2020 at home surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Orange and raised in Parsippany, NJ.  After marrying the love of his life, he moved to the Elba Point section of Lake Hopatcong where he and Helen started their family with the birth of three wonderful children.  The family moved to Jackson Township and resided there for 23 years.  Eventually, when retiring, he and Helen settled into their current home in Forked River.

John graduated from William Patterson University with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting.  He worked for Price Waterhouse and Exon.  Having the endless energy we all knew him to have, he decided that he needed a career that enabled him to run outside. With that decision, he happily had a 31 year career at United Parcel Service as a Package Car Driver. He was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus, enjoyed watching Yankee games, took great  pride in having the best lawn in the neighborhood, golfing, and being the unofficial mayor of SeaBreeze @ Lacey.  Most of all, he cherished time spent with family having Sunday dinners, wrestling with his six grandsons and bike riding with his wife Helen.

John is survived by his wife of 40 years, Helen (nee Mulvoy) Pecelli, of Forked River; His son Tony Pecelli and his wife Megan of Spring Lake Heights, His daughter Nicole Nolan and her husband Chris of Manchester Twp.; and his son Bryan Pecelli and his wife Blake of Freehold Twp.; his sister Annette Stankavich of Easton PA.; and his six grandsons, Christopher, Collin, Chase, Andrew, Thomas & John. He is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Angelina Pecelli.
