Jeannie Meklin

Jeannie Meklin age 62 died peacefully at home on Saturday March 1, 2025. She is survived by her husband Jeffrey, daughters Autumn and Monika, and sisters Sharon (boyfriend Chuck), Michelle (husband Wayne), and Melissa (husband Rob).

She is predeceased by her daughter Hannah and her parents Judith and Henry.

She grew up in Neptune, NJ and worked in various grocery stores in Ocean and Monmouth county in the deli department. Before she became disabled and was diagnosed with COPD and Congestive Heart Failure she enjoyed spending time by the pool in the Summertime and helping her daughter Monika work on the garden and teaching Autumn how to cook family meals in the kitchen. In her most recent days, she also enjoyed spending time with Jeffrey watching their favorite television shows and reminiscing on times when they were younger.

She touched many lives and her love will live on in the people who knew and loved her. We look forward to sharing memories on Thursday March 6, 2025 from 2-6 at Layton Funeral Home.
