Janice McNomee, nee LaBarbera, age 84, on January 15, 2025, succumbed to the crippling effects of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Born on August 5,1940 in Ridgewood NJ, Janice resided in Glen Rock, Franklin Lakes, Wyckoff, and Montville before moving to the Forked River section of Lacey Township in 2000.
Janice was the daughter of Justin and Mary LaBarbera of Glen Rock NJ where she grew up with her younger brother also named Justin. Janice graduated from Ridgewood High School Class of 1958 and attended Berkley Secretarial School.
Janice was employed over 20 years as the office manager and dental assistant for Dr. Marshall Clapp D.D.S. of Wyckoff, NJ.
Janice married Delbert McNomee, on January 10. 1976 at the Franklin Lakes United Methodist Church, Franklin Lakes.
Janice will be remembered for her steadfast devotion to her husband and children, as well as for her flair for all things women. Her father, being a dress designer in Manhattan, made Janice a student of fashion and simple elegance. She had impeccable taste. Also, her compassion and love for all endeared her to whomever she met.
Surviving are her brother, Justin LaBarbera; beloved husband, Delbert; her son and daughter-in-law, William and Toby Corbin, Fair Lawn, NJ, their sons and daughters-in-law, Mathew Corbin and Elisa, Basalt, CO, and Timothy and Taylor Corbin and Janice's newly arrived great granddaughter, Tatum. Timothy and family reside on Guam where he is a major in the USAF; her daughter, Karen Jones and her daughter, Nicole Jones, Nashville, NC.
