Hazel Morrison Obituary

Hazel Lucille Morrison, born November 7, 1929, in Harrison, Wisconsin, to Lawrence and Frances Austreng (née Lee), passed away peacefully at home on August 21, 2025, at the age of 95. She lived a life of kindness, dedication to others, and deep devotion to her family and friends.

Hazel spent most of her life in Melbourne, Florida, where she worked as a PCB assembler for flight simulators well into her 80s. She was an active member of her church, The Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.

Hazel was fortunate to live in many places throughout her life, thanks to her husband’s military service. Her journey began in Wisconsin; she later moved to Illinois, Germany, Florida, and Montana before retiring in Florida. In her final years, she lived in Forked River, New Jersey.

Hazel was predeceased by her beloved husband, Burriel William Morrison; her sisters, June Titulear and Ila Schwabe; and her brother, Norton Austreng. Her two children: Sylvia Harrell (Edward), and son BillyJoe Morrison.

She is survived by her daughter, Dorothea Tufaro (Vince); her son, Charles Morrison (Alicia); and her four-legged best friend, Tito. 

Grandchildren: Julie Santos, Michelle Pedone (Matt), Denise Valentine (Mac), James Loveday, Laura Trujillo (Jason), Robert Morrison (Nicole), Daniel Morrison, David Morrison, Emily Morrison, Chelsea Segalla, and Ashley Segalla (Ira).

Great-grandchildren: Kassandra Putman, Taylor Ortiz (Javier), Kylie Yannacone, Gia Pedone, Anthony Pedone, Brayden Valentine, Skylar Loveday, Kainoa Trujillo, Charles Trujillo, Jeremiah Morrison, and Aliyah Ferguson.

Great-great-grandchildren: Dominick Spicer, Jaiden McCloskey, Lola Ortiz, Hazel Ortiz, and Valentina Ortiz.

A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends. Interment will follow at a later date in Melbourne, Florida.
