Gerald Francis Stahlecker, Jr., 83, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2021. For 58 years, he was the devoted husband of Barbara A. (Triboletti) who passed away in August 2019.
Formerly of Holland, PA and Avalon, NJ, “Jerry” moved to the community of Waretown in Ocean Township, NJ in 2012.
Born June 28, 1937 in Philadelphia, Jerry was a 1955 graduate of West Catholic High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1959 as a radar operator aboard the USS New Jersey before joining General Electric and attending Lasalle University. In the mid 1970’s, Jerry was employed in the Technical Publications Department of American Electronics Laboratories in Colmar, PA. Before his retirement, Jerry owned and operated Scholler, Inc. a successful specialty chemical textile company in Port Richmond.
Anyone who knew Jerry understood his love for politically infused emails in support of his own conservative views. While the nature and frequency of his diatribes were often infuriating to some and welcomed by others, his missives will leave a void in our inbox as Jerry’s passing leaves a void in our hearts. Anyone who grew up in the vicinity of K & A will recognize that the internet was Jerry’s “Kelly’s Corner.”
Jerry is survived by his devoted children, Dr. Lisa A. Stahlecker (Warren J Koenig, Jr.) of Lansdale, Gerald F. Stahlecker, III (Jurgita) of Philadelphia, and Donna M. Cruz (Emanuel) of Franklin Square, NY; six adoring grandchildren, Tyler Matthew and Amanda Rose (Autumn) Corts, Madeleine Mary and Anna Charlotte Stahlecker, and Xavier Michael and Amelia Eloisa Cruz.
Jerry was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Cecilia Ann Cruz, as well as his parents, Gerald F. Stahlecker, Sr and Bernice M. Serbin, and his brother, Charles E. Stahlecker.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests a donation in Jerry’s memory be made to the Gary Sinese Foundation.
