Obituary

Gary Marshal Weber, 79 of Forked River, NJ, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.

Born on Sunday, July 25,1943 he was the first-born son of the late Mildred Cluney and Marshal Weber.

Raised in Cliffwood, NJ, Gary graduated from Matawan High School and went on to marry the late Elaine Trolian.  Together they raised a wonderful family of four in Old Bridge, NJ.  Gary was a talented bugle player and enjoyed playing and traveling with The Caballeros Drum Corps.  

Gary was employed by General Motors, Linden, NJ prior to starting his own successful, home improvement business. Gary was a master craftsman who took great pride in his work.  

In his spare time, Gary coached baseball and was a past President for the Laurence Harbor Little League as well as football coach for the Raritan Bay Cougars Pop Warner.  When Gary was not coaching the youth in town, he found a great connection within the Elks organization.   As a Past Exalted Ruler of B.P.O.Elks Lodge #2229 of Old Bridge NJ, Gary took great pride in the mission behind the Elks of volunteering in caring for the youth of Old Bridge, disabled children, underprivileged local families and U.S. Veterans.  

Later in life, Gary was lucky enough to find love again with Dorothy “Dotty” O’Brien, Forked River, NJ.  Gary and Dotty wed November 15, 2011, and spent 11 wonderful years together enjoying traveling to Florida in their RV, and spending time with family and their many friends.  

Gary is predeceased by his parents, Mildred and Ted Bushell, and Marshall Weber, wife, Elaine Weber and sister Toni Elliott.

Gary is survived by his devoted wife Dorothy Weber, 3 beloved daughters, Cheryl Bonczek and her partner, Michael Ronner of Pembroke Pines, Fl,  Deborah Weber of Sarasota, Fl, Michelle Zeno and husband Anthony of Eastampton, NJ, his caring son, Garry Weber and wife, Nancy of Old Bridge, NJ, his adoring grandchildren, Matthew, Aria, Christopher, Haley Lyn, Anthony, Angela, Dominique and Michael, 5 great-grandchildren, his caring siblings Douglas Weber and wife Maureen of Cliffwood Beach, NJ, and sisters, Lynn Cherry and husband John of Cliffwood, NJ, and Nadine and Julio Lopez, of Lambertville, NJ as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  

Gary was cremated in a private service and the family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
