Fred Jaekel, Jr.

Fred Jaekel Jr. 91 years young, of Bayville, NJ passed away on February 22, 2018. Fred was born in Newark, NJ and raised his family in Kenilworth before moving to Bayville in 1976.
He retired in 1991 from Volvo/White Motor Company after 47 years of service. He volunteered as a fireman in Kenilworth, a Boy Scout leader and continued long after his boys were out of scouting. His most recent volunteer work came thru the Coast Guard Auxiliary where he implemented the Kids Don't Float program which since has gone national providing life jackets to kids.
Fred is predeceased by his loving wife Geraldine of 67 years and survived by his 3 sons & daughter -in-law's Frederick III & Isabel, Brandenton, Fla, William & Gerry, Bordentown, NJ and Jeffrey & Robin , Manahawkin, NJ and his cherished grandchildren, Alison & husband Simon, David & wife Lisa , Ashley, Brielle, Brandon, Frank & wife Carole, Sandra, and four great-grandchildren.
