Elaine Miller

Elaine Miller, 85, of Forked River passed away Sat. Sept 30 following a brief hospital stay after a sudden medical emergency. She was predeceased by her husband Bernie 30 years ago, and more recently a son, Doug. Elaine had lived in Lacey since 1970 and owned the "Home and Gift Shop" before overseeing the Forked River Pharmacy and Gifts shop after her husband passed. 

Elaine liked the various holidays and seasons and the décor and gifts associated with them. She enjoyed swimming, skiing and travel when younger, and gardening, reading and animals. She was a member of Forked River Rotary International, and many of her fellow Rotarians were dear to her. 

She is survived by her eldest son, Bernie, a sister-in-law, other fond relatives, and her current pets, who also mourn. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your choice of charity for veterans, international aid, or animal care.
